Feminist Perspectives on Peace Building: through HER actions - the open discussion at Villa Lewin
On 7.3.2023 at Villa Lewin (August-Bebel-Str. 48a) Friedenskreis Halle e.V. as part of our Engagiert für Frieden und Entwicklung project has organized the open discussion on
the topic Feminist Perspectives on Peace Building: through HER actions.
Teodora Luketa, Bojana Malinovska and Marina Milić were talking about the FLINTA* peace movements in Yugoslavia and post-Yugoslav countries. They've shared knowledge about the role, emancipation and actions of women in Yugoslavia after the Second World War and the substantial role of women in the anti-war movement during the nineties. The influence of this legacy on the generation of young people in Southeastern Europe today was discussed.
Through this exciting insight into the actions of our predecessors we were reminded of how important the legacy of FLINTA* movements around the globe is. We can learn a lot from their resistence strategies that can help us today in our commitment for peaceful world.
